About
Uncle Waffles is a South African DJ/producer described by Billboard as the “princess of amapiano” — a South African subgenre of dance music. Waffles’ meteoric rise has taken her from South Africa’s DJing circuit to earning a cosign from Drake and becoming the first amapiano artist to perform at Coachella. Uncle Waffles (born Lungelihle Zwane) rose to prominence not only for her DJing skills, but for the hypnotic dance moves she showcased in a viral clip from October 2021 (which turned her into a trending topic on Twitter). In March 2022, Waffles released her first single, “Tanzania (feat. Tony Duardo, Sino Msolo and Boibizza),” a No. 1 hit in South Africa that Waffles included on her 2022 debut EP Red Dragon. “Tanzania” was also ranked No. 1 on Rolling Stone’s list of the Top 40 Best Afropop Songs of 2022. In March 2023, Waffles released her second EP, ASYLUM, and continues to tour worldwide.

Mansa opened the show and set the crowd on fire! Although uncle waffles had technical difficulties mid-show, she still did her thing and we had the best time! She also took time to take pictures with fans! Can’t wait to see Uncle Waffles and Mansa again.

Very disorganized

The other dj also left the stage at one point where there was no control over the music.

I want my money back this show was really bad
