  • Fantastic live show!

    by annied01ca on 2022-09-22Théâtre Corona - MontrealRating: 5 out of 5

Sarah Harmer gave an engaging, generous and human performance, the best we have seen in a really long time from anyone! The audience (especially the balcony!) was exuberant in response to her. One of our top 10 shows of all time.

  • A heartfelt performance

Sarah Harmer was breathtaking with her natural talent and her voice echoed perfectly through the old theatre. I was mesmerized at every moment. Being a long time fan of hers, I was very excited to hear almost all my favourite songs, plus her band was perfectly on point and in time with her! I would definitely go back to see her there if she plays again. Nice and intimate! She even came out for a little hello afterwards which she didn’t have to do. And signed some posters. A wonderful person!

  • Covid scare -- not Sarah but the event's management.

by Disappointed fan on 2022-04-08Park Theatre - WinnipegRating: 1 out of 5

Couldn't stay for the show. Place was packed like sardines with unmasked audience members. Felt very unsafe and left after 5 minutes, hoping I wasn't exposed to the new COVID variant. The show hadn't started, and I wish it was better managed and produced, with a reasonable number of people in the audience and maybe chairs to sit on? Maybe sometime in a post-pandemic future I'll be able to enjoy Sarah's music live...

  • No Place to Sit!!!

Sarah was wonderful…no complaints there. Sadly though, we had to leave the concert midway through. As a couple of seniors, we couldn’t stand that long. We couldn’t believe our eyes when we saw the theatre had no seats set up. It didn’t take long for my back pain to set in and my legs to give out. We spent over a hundred dollars for tickets, drove over an hour to get there, and expected to enjoy a wonderful evening seated among fellow music lovers. Instead, we wasted our money and our time. The least you could do is inform us ahead of time that there was no seating. Not impressed!

  • Disappointed

by Julia on 2022-04-08Park Theatre - WinnipegRating: 1 out of 5

While the performer was great, the venue was extremely crowded, and it was impossible to see the stage near the back due to the crowd and the configuration of the venue. The music was harder to hear at the back as well. Overall disappointed and left early.

  • No Room at the In

by Bluto on 2022-04-08Park Theatre - WinnipegRating: 4 out of 5

Sarah Harmer herself was great - entertaining, great music, wonderful voice. Getting into the venue was problematic as it turned out FolkFest had only two people at the front checking online tickets: one cumbersomely checking the list of names and the other stamping hands once the name was found. As a consequence, it we were over 30 minutes in line to get in - just as the first song started - and there was still about 20 minutes of line behind us who must have missed the first few songs at least. Delay the start or at least have a support act folks at FolkFest. There were more folks (venue staff) checking vaccine status than there were taking tickets (Folk Fest staff) - doh! I was standing near the lower bar and found that whenever the lead guitarist soloed the sound was too loud and overmodulating/distorted to the point of being cringeworthy. It didn't fit well with the overall clean sound of the rest of the band. Was pleased to see about 90% of the audience wore masks during the show, which given the uptick in cases, is a great thing for overall public safety.

  • Excellent show in a great venue.

This was the first time in years I’ve seen people lined up around the corner and down the block for a show. The staff at the Park Theatre had people moving along quickly though and we weren’t waiting long to get in. The show was very good, Sarah Harmer is the kind of performer that could carry a show on the strength of her voice and songwriting alone. Having a band back her up was just a little bonus in the mix. The Park Theatre has had some pretty big renovations burning the pandemic, which made an already great venue even better. It was a great experience all around.

  • Sarah Harmer

From the opening song to the encore, Sarah put on one awesome show. I was just a curious listener from time to time as this artist is a favorite or my wife's, Sarah converted me to be a more dedicated listener from now on! I would highly recommend that anyone see her live as her show is both heartfelt and lively!

Sarah was excellent as usual though I don't think the venue was the best for her.

  • I can't believe I was going to miss it!

I knew going in that I really didn't care for the opening act but wanted to show up early to get decent seats. Good plan because the place was completely full before Gentleman Reg took the stage. Standing room only. Sarah and company sounded great. The only other time I have seen her live was at this past year's Folk Festival. It goes without saying that a show in a medium sized room with dedicated fans was more intimate than a field with 15000 people who might be there to what whatever. It was definitely true tonight. The set was a great combination of new and old and I don't know if I have ever heard a band this small in a venue this small sound so perfect.
