Take your kids, make sure they heard all the songs before arriving.
My 2.5-yo daughter loved seeing Raffi! The Queen E is such a nice venue for little kids.
I took my 4 year old daughter who had a blast singing along to Baby Beluga.
I heard Raffi last when I took my kids (now in their 40’s) to a concert. This time it was my 9 & 5 year old grandkids who have listened to our old CD’s over and over. At 76 Raffi put on an amazing performance, his voice like always, unaffected by age! Love his focus on honouring children. If only the world sees children through his eyes!
Raffi was great. He’s still engaging and his songs are silly and sweet. Baby Baluga is a family favorite along with bananaphone Raffi concert needs a dance floor. It’s a young kids concert and the kids just want to dance. For obvious safety reasons and I’m guessing fire code the kids can’t be in the isle but dancing at their seat just didn’t work. So my six year old was bored and wanted to leave. My 2yr old cried because she wanted to move and dance. I’d think that his concert would be way more fun at a venue with a large dance space!
Raffi was wonderful: inclusive, luminous as ever, fun and child focussed from start to finish. He engaged 3 generations of our family, pulled at the heartstrings of our Beluga Grads and their Mama, and had our grandchildren dancing, clapping, singing, and happily entertained throughout. We especially enjoyed "The Good Lovelies"joining Raffi for part of the performance. Their beautiful harmonies enhanced the performance so much, and they also helped to signal to the audience when to chime in on songs. ( While Raffi's hands were busy playing guitar) We hope sometime to hear them play with Raffi too, knowing the special instrumental talents they have. But, apart from the concert basics, Raffi's presence among us all, and his music for and with children is a huge balm in a world where so much is broken and in need of healing. We applaud his appeal to Beluga Grads to be the voices of social and environmental justice, and his example to young parents of how to be present to their young children. Thank you, Raffi, Caroline, Kerri, and Sue, and all the welcoming staff of Massey Hall for a most memorable afternoon!
Tickets were a gift to my 31/2 year old Grandson. He was entranced.
Raffi still has the same great voice and demeanour. The concert was listed for 2-3:30pm and it started a little late and ended a bit early. Would have liked to hear more of the hits. When it was over my daughter noted that one of her favourites was not sung. For the ticket price I think it could have been longer with an intermission if need be.
Such a great show! The kids loved it, so many amazing songs by Raffi. Had a fabulous time.
