  • It did not materialize

by Tamara on 2024-06-19Bluma Appel Theatre - TorontoRating: 3 out of 5

The work of the illusionist / "theatre maker"Sobelle was outstanding, and it seemed to have a lot of potential to be the canvas for intriguing various “stories” of life. The stories could have projected the main intended theme House-Home-house crisis. It did not materialize; I left the play “intellectually empty”. The Birthday celebration looked somewhat as a farce…although the audience definitely enjoyed it.

“Home” was delivering powerful messages regarding a true meaning of family through the specific space as home our life circle.

  • Entrances and exits

by Sheldon on 2024-06-16Bluma Appel Theatre - TorontoRating: 1 out of 5

I found the show quite superficial and tedious. A series of insignificant entrances and exits that never took the idea past its beginning point. The magic trick at the beginning was delightful and entertaining, but after the fifth time it had lost its lustre. The show was as much about stage craft as it was content. And then turning it into a circus and kid's show was as much about running out of insight as it was about genuine invention.

  • Best show of the year

by Paul on 2024-06-15Rating: 5 out of 5

That was one of the best experiences in theater I’ve ever had.!! The spectacle! The story! The heart! There were 50 people on the stage ! How did they do it! What a gorgeous piece of art. We’re lucky to have it in our city. Run run run.

  • not bad

The venue was too large for this particular show. I don’t mean attendance, I mean stage size. The promotional picture showed more performers. Was someone taken ill? The show seemed stretched out to take longer than it needed to.
