Jake Vaadeland is a genuine musical prodigy and each and every one of his sidemen, The Sturgeon River Boys, are outstanding musicians in their own right/of the highest calibre... Frankly, together their level of showmanship, energy and talent surpasses anything I've ever seen [in any musical genre] in more than 4 decades - and back in the day I used to string for Time Magazine with a focus on live performance in the Pacific North West - so, I've seen a few acts. Two amazing sets separated by a brief intermission with seamless transitions between songs and a plethora of original material inspired by Vaadeland's preternatural talent for storytelling make for an UNFORGETTABLE occasion. These guys put on an amazing show, saw them open for the Hunter Brothers at a small venue. They joked around with the audience and played such fun and unique music. I’d love to see them headline their own show one day!
