Rock group Evanescence, initially formed in 1994 by Amy Lee and Ben Moody, released three EPs before the end of the Ć¢ā¬Ė90s and an album called Origin. By 2002 they were signed to Wind-Up Records and expanded the line-up to include musicians John LeCompt, Will Boyd and Rocky Gray. In 2003 they released their first official album, Fallen, which sold over 15 million copies.Ā
Evanescence released a live album, Anywhere But Home, in 2004. This was followed by Open Door in 2006, which sold one million copies in its first week. The band then waited five years to release their third album, the self-titled Evanescence. The band has toured extensively across the world. Their 2012 world tour took in a number of dates in the UK, South America , North America, Australia, China, Japan and Indonesia.
The band has received five Grammy nominations and has won two awards Ć¢ā¬ā for Best New Artist and Best Hard Rock Performance. Other accolades for the band include a Los Premios MTV award, a MTV Australia Video Music Award, a NRJ Music Award, two Teen Choice Awards and a World Music Award. Amy Lee was awarded the National Music Publishers' Association's Songwriter Icon Award in 2008.
The bandĆ¢ā¬ā¢s line-up has varied with a number of members leaving at various stages in their history. One of the founding members, Ben Moody, left in the middle of their European tour in 2003. He was replaced by Terry Balsamo. In 2005, Will Boyd also left, with Tim McCord joining in 2006. During their 2007 tour, John LeCompt was fired and Rocky Gray decided to quit. These two members were replaced by Troy Lawham and Will Hunt.
Evanescence's lead singer Amy Lee has worked on a number of other projects. Her version of Ć¢ā¬ÅSally's SongĆ¢ā¬Ā was included on the soundtrack for Disney's The Nightmare Before Christmas. Her collaborations with other artists have included Korn's Ć¢ā¬ÅFreak on a LeashĆ¢ā¬Ā single and Seether's Broken, which was featured on the soundtrack for The Punisher. She has also performed on tracks for David Hodges, Big Dismal and The Damning Well.Ā

They were amazing! Really professional and just great overall
All three bands were incredible. This show made me a fan of The Warning, I love them! My partner and I, as well as almost every patron, were shocked that we had to give the venue our bags. Didnāt matter if the bags were looked through or not by security. This didnāt feel right and Iāve been to shows at the Rogers Centre and they have never done this. Please find a better way to deal with this. Having security look through our bags and allowing us to keep them if deemed safe should be the norm.
I took my wife daughter and niece to London Ontario to see their first concert. It turned out to be a great choice as all 3 bands were amazing! I was especially surprised with the main opener hailstorm as when I checked out their music it had a softer country vibe but when we were at the concert they sounded more metal with guitar solos and screaming, it was really cool! Amy had tough act to follow but her voice is so incredible she was able to blow me a way with an amazing set. The first opener called the warning was amazing and they definitely have a bright future ahead of them. Overall the value was incredible, we had like 4 hours of amazing music for like 80$ each. They all loved it and I got to listen to good music I actually enjoyed instead of overpaying for whatever pop star is currently at the top of the charts.
Amy Lee kills it every time. Her vocals are unmatched. The two opening acts were really good. I loved that it was all girls singing in a rock/metal show. The venue and staff were good. Only annoyance I had was having to put our drinks in a cup every time. I feel safer with a lid on my drinks and its easier to carry around if youāre in the pit.

After 21 years, I got to see her again. She is as energetic as the first time. And still has the voice. Wow!!!
Honestly was only there to see Halestorm and The Warning. Enjoyed them both despite the short sets. Did not stay for the headliner.

Such a strong line up of woman (and men) performing. I appreciate the sisterhood shared between all three bands. Being 35 now, Iāve grown up with Evanescence. The 15 year old in me was showing up front and centre to experience a band she only listened to through a speaker. The 35 y old woman (I am now) was cathartically in awe in how she can relate as a woman to woman with the experiences collected over the years. It was a beautiful show! Each band shared a level of pure energy, emotion and passion that I havenāt felt in a while. Each woman sang from their cosmic existence. I havenāt heard woman so vocally powerful! They connected with us even up at the top of the stadium! The instrumental was on point! Each member had a moment to showcase their talents and it was done with rockstar pride! I was blown away from start to finish. Everyone (fans) was there together supporting each other even between shows! This show was different than others Iāve been too, this was truly a collective experience of a massive amount of genuine humans. We were strangers walking through the doors and family sitting in our seats once the performance began. Truly cathartic on many levels and a wonderful experience!
