The Canadian Elite Basketball League unveiled its newest franchise in Calgary on October 19 2023, the Calgary Surge. The team will begin play when the 2023 season tips off in May, with WinSport Event Centre serving as the team's home.

    We love the Surge and we especially l9 loved thé kids corner with ballons, facepaint and glittery Surge tattoos!! The team is fantastic and the environment is really fun. The only issue was that the noise was so loud we couldn't hear the host running contests so it was difficult to follow what was going on. If the xolume could have been a little lower (our kids were holding their hands over their ears) and the host's mic a touch louder, this would have dedinitelt been a 5 star experience

    I love watching CEBL-it’s great bball. What I can’t stand is the voice of the woman who entertains the audience during timeouts and the silly games. I’ve never heard such a grating, high pitched voice-listening to it at high volume through the sound system at Winsport is deafening and excruciating. Please…make it stop…maybe just let the dancers do their thing-they are so talented!

    I prefer the regular location at windsport, it's more comfortable and the view is better.

    Went to the semi-final game on August 6 between Calgary & Edmonton. It was an entertaining and exciting game. This was my third game this season. I have enjoyed the games so much that I signed up for Season Tickets. It is great to have a basketball team in Calgary.
