Unforgettable first concert of the last Hip tour
Save On Foods Memorial Centre - Victoria
This first concert of The Tragically Hip Man Machine Poem tour was absolutely amazing. Everything from the atmosphere outside the arena, the feel inside the arena, the actual concert put on by the band, the emotions after the concert was over, all made for an amazing night. People at the concert acted like they were all best friends for years. Everyone was there to have a great time and to watch their favourite band for possible the last time live in concert. A special night, which was highlighted by a great show by The Tragically Hip with an amazing performance, which included hits from almost all of the albums spanning their music career. Gord did a spectacular job as always as front man for the band, and the crowd cheered him on like never before to help encourage him in his fight with brain cancer. I travelled from Winnipeg to Victoria and I am extremely grateful that I was able to experience this concert. I will never forget it, and I will always be a fan of The Tragically Hip, which I consider to be one of Canada's greatest rock and roll bands.

Final concert from The Tragically Hip
Rogers K-Rock Centre - Kingston
I have never seen Gordie perform with such energy before. Truly an amazing spectacle that night in Kingston, August 20, 2016. I am sure there will be better reviews from more articulate people, because I am lost for words. Nothing I saw could do justice.

In Gord we Trust!

Oh what a night! So very fortunate to have been a part of this incredible night. It was a celebration and a good bye. It was so emotional and so inspirational. Words cannot describe. Gord showed so much courage and grace. The powerful and positive energy in the building was mind blowing- Im sure the band must have felt it. I know everyone around me did! We had many moments to say goodbye and when they came back on for the 3rd encore- well, it was truly magical. Proud to say we are Canadian and honoured to have witnessed such an amazing event. One night never to forget. God bless you Gordie and much love and strength to you and to the rest of the band. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Tragically Hip gave it all!
Rogers K-Rock Centre - Kingston
Two and a half hours of Canada at it's best. The Hip and especially Gord Downie poured out his heart and emotion one last time for all of Canada. It was the concert of my lifetime and made me so proud to be from Kingston, the birthplace of the Hip. Once in a lifetime event.

It was a pleasure doing business with you
First Ontario Centre - Hamilton
Courage...it's the word that for me best describes Gord Downie taking to the road following treatments for a glioblastoma to support the 12th studio album from Canadian icons The Tragically Hip. Performing live is what they love, they love doing it with each other, they love doing it for their fans. Hamilton was treated to an awesome 150 minutes of The Tragically Hip, playing a wide selection of tracks from their almost 30 years of recorded material. To end the first half of the first set the band have been playing four tracks from the new album, we were treated to In Sarnia and Machine to finish this four song run...all sounded amazing but Machine is in another league...what a killer bassline and track altogether, top 5 HIp track for me. Hamilton's crowd were boisterous and supportive, 3,000 more people than attended the recent Paul McCartney concert. This is The Hip, Canada's band. It is to Canada as hockey is, it's ubiquitous. Thank you boys for taking to the road and playing such varied setlists, it was a treat to hear the new songs live and to see the Kingston show aired.

Bittersweet end to an amazing band. One of those rare times in life when you want a day to arrive to have a one in a life time experience but at the same time you dont want the day to arrive. After about 40 times seeing them, this will most likely be the last (though not official yet)...
