it was ok, little boring, i fell asleep during the opening act.
I really wasn't impressed with Norm. I laughed my ass off during the opening act (I can't remember his name), but thought Norm was quite boring. He just rambled on. I think I chuckled no more than a handful of times during his entire routine. My husband actually fell asleep . . . twice. Oh and the seats at the Burton Cummings theatre were HORRIBLE. My back was in so much pain and I had no leg room. So I couldn't even move to try and get more comfortable. That really didn't help the show any.
Great show, highly recommended! Bruce Clark was also very good and a proud Winnipegger!
I think he was funny, but also looked like he was loaded when he come on stage
Amazing show. Norm has the ability to improvize and still be hilarious. There were many times during the show that he went off on tangents, and they were all funny. This was the best comedy show I have seen since Seinfeld.
I thought that the show was really good. the opeing act was funny and norm did a good job. over all the show was a ten out of ten.
Comedic artistry at its best. Norm McDonald still holds up as being in full control of the heart of his audience, as he guides us through his misguided takes on life. Totally comfortable and totally connected with the crowd. He has only gotten sharper and wittier since his Saturday Night Live days.
That was a terrific show! Kevin Farley opening was funny, but Norm was fantastic. I was laughing almost non-stop.
It was so fun to see Norm MacDonald. He just kept us laughing joke after joke and story after story.
1 and a half hours of non stop great comedy... There wasn't a boring or non funny segment in the while show. Can't wait to see him next time he's in town.
I'm still recovering in hospital! Congrats Norm! You certainly earned your bread and butter that night ( or should I say cheese sandwich). Once again a super human performance. Now if you'll excuse me I have to run out to the rope store.
Funny from start to finish, well worth seeing, can't wait for him to come back
Norm went up for 90 minutes and it felt like 12. I laughed so hard at points I missed junks of the show. I'd need to see it two more times at least to get everything. What an awesome performance.
We've seen great stand-ups in the past year and Norm MacDonald is among the best. From the moment Norm walked out, he was funny, funny, funny. We were a pretty big group and we loved his routines. We left the show quoting him and reliving some of his funniest lines. I have to say the venue was a little strange - 2 bathrooms for 900 people - waiting outside in the rain for over 30 minutes before the doors opened - no bar - and even though we were stone-cold sober, we laughed our butts off.
Norm MacDonald put on a great show. He was on time and he had the audience captivated with his stories from the first to the last minute. I was hoping he would do a Bob Ucker story but thats been done and I am sure he has moved on from that. Kevin Farley was great. Did what he could to loosen the audience up. The venue was great except for the general admission seating. it was a full house and lots of seat shuffling was going on.
Kevin Farley was the opening act. It was old school basic stand up: fart jokes etc. His show was alright. Norm came on and at first I thought he might be drunk since I couldn't understand anything he was saying. He got better though. His jokes were funny but sometimes they were stretched out. The killer was the temperature in the Bronson centre. It was way too warm!!! The long winded jokes plus the warm temperature was a ripe environment for sleeping.
A quick comment on Norm. This guy has great humor. I hope his buddy Artie Lange is getting better. But, In the mean time, Norm needs to get on Howard Stern every morning to keep us cracking up. You rock Norm!
loved norm, so canadian, so funny , so thoughtful the guy that opened up for him was crass and blue. Who picked him to open for someone so great as Norm MacDonald? weird....
I was a bit surprised to hear his 'humour'...or lack of it. In todays world, his comments really didn't go over to well...I could have spent my $100.00+ some place worth while. Live and learn I suppose...
