Comprised of Ryan Guldemond (vocals, guitar), Molly Guldemond (vocals, keys), Jasmin Parkin (vocals, keys), Ali Siadat (drums) and Mike Young (bass), Mother Mother are best known for their deep connection with their fans, and for bringing stadium-sized energy to their live show, no matter the stage. Singing about themes of alienation and enormous longing for self and societal acceptance, the band's mission is to be a home for souls that feel they don't fit in anywhere else.
Mother Mother were recently catapulted into a new stratosphere of universal success following the release of their critically acclaimed studio album INSIDE. Their explosive follow-up to "Hayloft," "Hayloft II" connected with fans around the world and is now certified Gold in the US and approaching Platinum in their home country of Canada. A string of #1 radio hits in Canada, 6 billion global streams, and multiple Billboard chart appearances cement their newfound global success.
The quintet spent most of the last year touring the world playing to sold-out audiences in theaters to stadiums, with multiple sold-out headline tours in Europe, UK, Canada, Australia and the U.S. as well as past and upcoming festival plays at Reading + Leeds, Lollapalooza in Argentina, Brazil, Chile and Berlin, Corona Capital in Mexico, Pukkelpop Belgium, Frequency Festival in Austria, Lowlands in The Netherlands and more.

BC is in a provincial state of emergency due to flooding events. Non-essential travel has been restricted by provincial order. Two of my friends couldn’t attend the concert because the highways are being rebuilt after the landslides destroyed them. Ticket Master refused to refund the tickets for the guests that couldn’t come. Ticket Master is encouraging concert goers to disregard provincial emergency orders. Deplorable corporate behaviour that I will never forget. The Mother Mother show was one of the best I’ve ever seen. Mother Mother are one of the best bands of all time.
Was great to bring the family to an afternoon event! For the most part everyone stayed in their seats and kept masks on. Mother Mother puts on a really fun show. Many at the show assumed it was assigned seating based on how the tickets were sent out. However, it was first come first served and the instructions weren’t that clear about an opening act, when the doors opened or when the show actually started. We happened to be walking by and realized people were lining up early. We quickly changed our plans and had one of us stand in line for an extra unplanned two hours, just messed up our family weekend a bit. The staff at the Commodore were super friendly and answered all our questions with a smile.
Mother Mother always puts on an awesome show, and this time was no exception! They are so talented- the sound, the lyrics, the lights! I would see them a thousand more times - SO good!! Thank you Mother Mother!!
Fantastic show, great music, so much fun!! Cant wait until we can dance on the floor at the Commodore again, tho, we were packed in tiny chairs!
Been to a few shows recently, this one though was the return to live music. Kick ass bounce around fun!
This is an amazing band with amazing energy exchange with their audience. The sound was awesome and just the right volume. They played good mixture of old and new songs. I try to never miss an opportunity to see mother mother!
The instructions said: VIP CHECK-IN Check-in Location: Front Door Check-in time: 5:15 PM Soundcheck Begins: 6:00 PM Doors: 7:00 PM Other instructions we received which were a size restrictions on bags. My Wife brought a little clutch as instructed by the Commodore, but there were plenty of people with full bags and backpacks. We arrived at the door at 5:30 and were told to queue (in the cold) until 6pm. Once inside, we were told no drinks would be available until 7pm. The giveaways were a little poster and some stickers... not inspired. Around 6t 6pm the band came on for a sound check and quasi acoustic set. This was a very nice experience. But then we waited, in our seats, masks on, and waited and waited and waited. 2 hours. The opening band was uninspired. And then we waited some more... I guess MM took the stage around 10pm? Nobody would stay seated, most were unmasked despite the public health orders. We were done by that point and we left after 5 or 6 songs.
Great night, awesome band and awesome vibes. So great to see live music again!
I've seen Mother Mother several times and their show at the Commodore was their best yet - fantastic band, energy, sound, catalog, venue - we love every minute of it and highly recommend catching Mother Mother live if you have a chance
I love the band, the performances were excellent, sound the best mixed I've ever heard live, and a great lightshow too. Everyone clearly put their all into the event. This was also my dirst time at the Commodore Ballroom, and was pleasantly surprised by what a small and classy venue it is, my friends and i got to be quite close to the stage, great view! A wonderful night.
Seeing mother mother after the past two years of not being able to see anyone live was magical. It blew my mind. They are so talented and the entire experience was absolutely amazing.
For my first concert since Covid I am so glad it was Mother Mother at the Commodore! It was amazing, the band was perfect! Loved the set list, order of songs, covered all the basis for a MM fan, I bought the vinyl and I would go again in a minute!
Mother Mother were absolutely electric the entire time they were on stage!!! We had such a good time and you could tell they did too!! We were lucky enough to be in an area of the Commodore that was jam packed so we were on our feet dancing all night long. Absolutely fantastic. Thank you Mother Mother and the Commodore for a fantastic and much needed night of pure fun!!!
Concert was good but it will be the last time I go to a September concert at the Malkin Bowl. . .Acoustics were not great and when the rain came pouring down, it got pretty miserable. . .
I love this band so much! Every song is awesome, the performance is on point! Seen them twice now and they don’t disappoint. Luckily the weather cooperated, although the Malkin Bowl was a mud pit from the earlier rains...good thing we had our boots on. Awesome beer and hard iced teas. Great evening 😀😀😀
They played an awesome show! They really brought a great energy and fantastic performance.
The rain was a bit unfortunate, but not uncommon for Vancouver. The concert was great! it was raining pretty hard by the time Mother Mother came out but boy was it worth it! Great concert... good songs, good spirit from the crowd.
This is the 4th time I've seen Mother Mother and they NEVER disappoint! One of the best live bands I've ever seen.
Awesome gig. The band were in top form. The rain held off. The forest and park magical. You must see this band.
