In 2015, the Storm drafted Jewell Lloyd at No. 1. She went on to be named Rookie of the Year, became a five-time All-Star and in 2023, won the Peak Performer Award for leading the league in scoring. The Storm’s subsequent No. 1 pick in 2016 was Breanna Stewart, who would win Rookie of the Year and MVP as a member of the Storm. Great game at Rogers in Edmonton. Both teams played with good intensity even though it was an exhibition game. Really good atmosphere, great crowd and overall a really enjoyable evening.

    Fantastic Show!

by Ashley on 2024-05-07Rogers Place - Edmonton

Everything was perfect, other than the rogers place seats being a little cramped for my liking. The women put on a great show and it was cool seeing the Oilers out and supporting women’s sport.

Great opportunity to experience Women's Basketball

by Cate on 2024-05-07Rogers Place - Edmonton

This was an excellent, entertaining evening. We found easy parking across the street from @RogersPlace, found our seats easily, thanks to the usher, grabbed a hotdog and settled into our seats. We were delighted to be a part of this introduction of professional women's basketball. The only issue is that we couldn't get seats at mid-court.

    Unforgettable memories

by Charleston Chew on 2024-05-07Rogers Place - Edmonton

Like the city of Edmonton hosted its first WNBA game I am in awe of how well it went. If and when Edmonton gets another WNBA Canada game I would be back again, and the price of tickets is at a very good price.
